Susan Kare - Heart Icon Necklace Pendant

The Heart pendant was created by pioneering computer iconographer Susan Kare (b. 1954) exclusively for the Esc Keys collection in collaboration with Asprey Studio. Rendered in her distinctive pixel-based visual language, the universal symbol of the heart is reinterpreted with the clarity and simplicity that define Kare's pixel art practice.

Widely recognised for designing many of the original icons and typefaces for the Apple Macintosh in the early 1980s — including the Happy Mac, Floppy Disk and Trash Can — Kare helped establish the visual language of personal computing.

Each pendant is handcrafted by Asprey Studio in sterling silver with black oxidisation or gold vermeil with enamel. Solid gold is available upon request.

Conceived and produced entirely in-house at the Asprey Studio atelier in Kent, England, every piece brings together contemporary artistic practice with centuries-old craftsmanship.
