The Craftsmanship at Asprey Studio

A new frontier

Born in 2021, Asprey Studio represents a new chapter for Asprey, the 244-year-old British luxury house. While deeply rooted in heritage, the Studio takes that legacy a step further - building on time-honoured craftsmanship while pushing forward state-of-the-art technological innovations.

Guided by Chief Creative Officer and artist Alastair Walker, the Studio combines heritage with experimentation. While Asprey is defined by legacy, Asprey Studio takes that heritage a step further - collaborating with artists, technologists, and master artisans to create works that challenge and expand traditional ideas of craftsmanship, value, and permanence.

physical & digital

Asprey Studio operates where fine craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology, redefining how art and luxury objects exist in both physical and digital forms.

In partnership with the British Museum, Rhino Dürer translates Albrecht Dürer’s iconic 1515 woodcut into 11 stunning sterling silver sculptures. Handcrafted in our Kent workshop, each sculpture consists of over 90 individual components and requires up to six months to complete. Accompanying each piece is a blockchain inscription of Dürer’s Rhinoceros - a modern, decentralised provenance that preserves and extends the legacy of this historic image.

Silver Scream further explores this hybrid approach. This collection features hand-oxidised silver artworks - each manually oxiticised to accelerate and control natural ageing - and corresponding inscriptions on Bitcoin Ordinals. One piece from this edition was auctioned at Christie’s Beyond the Screen sale.

Alongside collaborations with digital artists such as Jack Butcher, Asprey Studio continues to push the boundaries of art and design - merging traditional silversmithing with blockchain technology to create works that transcend time and medium.

The workshop

Asprey Studio’s vision is realised across two key spaces: a 200 sqm gallery in Mayfair, London, and a state-of-the-art workshop in Kent, UK.

The Kent workshop, which will open in late 2025, brings together silversmiths, engravers, designers, and technologists under one roof. Here, traditional techniques such as hand engraving and polishing meet 3D modelling and precision fabrication. This fusion allows for an unparalleled level of detail, craftsmanship, and scale - ensuring every piece embodies Asprey Studio’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

More than a production facility, the workshop is a creative hub where heritage and future-facing technology converge - shaping the next chapter of art, luxury, and craftsmanship.
